• Eliminating upfront costs for necessary clearances & TB screening SUMMARY: The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) position is a field employee position providing one-to-one and small group emotional support and behavioral interventions to children/adolescents in a school setting. SCHEDULE: PCAs will work on all student days during the school calendar year, 8am - 3pm LOCATIONS: Child & Career Development Center (CCDC): 1525 Lincoln Hwy, Coatesville, PA 19320 Chester County Learning Center (CCLC): 1635 Lincoln Hwy, Coatesville, PA 19320 PERKS OF WORKING IN A SCHOOL SYSTEM: Excellent experience to start a career making a difference every day working with individuals with special needs. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver tailored one-on-one and small group support to students with disabilities, helping them participate in classroom activities, manage behavioral interventions, manage personal care, and access to educational environment as it aligns with the student's Individualized Educational Plan (IEP). Implement timely interventions focusing on behavior management, conflict resolution, anger management, and enhancing peer interaction skills, according to the goals outlined in the IEP or positive behavioral support plan set by Special Education team. Gather daily data and maintain progress notes in the designated format for each session with the child or adolescent. Offer direct assistance to students to fulfill their academic, social, emotional, and/or personal care requirements.

Requirements

High School Diploma OR equivalency Experience working with school aged children - preferred Experience with autism and / or other special needs - preferred CREDENTIALS: (Clearances current within 12 months) PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance PA Criminal (Act 34.
