Family Physician

The Opportunity IWS Family Health is seeking a compassionate, collaborative Family Medicine Physician to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to adults and children in our growing FQHC. Reporting to our Director of Family Medicine, this clinician will be a key player in the continued development of our multi-site operations, which will be expanding from two sites to four by April 2027.

What You Will Do

Provide comprehensive primary and preventive care for adult and pediatric patients, including acute and chronic condition management. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other members of the care team to provide coordinated, whole-person care. Deliver reproductive and family planning services, including contraceptive counseling, STI screening and treatment, and LARC services.

Support Title X activities, compliance requirements, audits, and reporting. Review diagnostic and laboratory results and coordinate appropriate follow-up care and referrals. Participate in quality improvement and quality assurance initiatives. Educate patients, residents, students, and clinical staff as appropriate. Maintain timely, accurate, and complete clinical documentation.

Participate in the provider on-call rotation and other clinical initiatives as needed.

What You Will Bring

MD or DO degree with completion of a Family Medicine residency. Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine. Current Illinois physician licensure. Ability to provide comprehensive care to both adult and pediatric populations. Strong communication, clinical judgment, and collaborative skills. A patient-centered approach grounded in compassion, integrity, respect, and cultural responsiveness and a genuine commitment to improving access to high-quality healthcare for diverse and underserved communities.

What We Are Hoping For Experience working in an FQHC, community health center, or other safety-net healthcare setting. Experience providing reproductive health and Title X family planning services. Experience with contraceptive procedures, including IUD and implant insertion and removal. Experience performing colposcopy is a plus.

Compensation

and Benefits The salary for this position is $185,400 - $247,200 depending on experience. IWS Family Health provides a competitive salary and benefits plan, including generous Paid Time Off (PTO), paid holidays, health, dental, life, disability and vision insurance options, a medical expense reimbursement plan, and a 403(b) option.
