Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle to transport cargo in compliance with all applicable traffic and safety regulations.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safe operation.
Maintain accurate records of cargo and vehicle inspections as required by company policies and regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinate pick-up and delivery schedules.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Houston Logistics Manager. Additional Job Duties:
Plan routes and schedules to optimize efficiency and meet delivery deadlines.
Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and fluid levels.
Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained both inside and out.
Follow all DOT regulations and maintain a valid CDL and medical card.
Must be flexible with working hour availability to accommodate varying schedules and delivery demands.
Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CDL driver, preferably in a shuttle or regional driving role.
Ability to lift and move heavy units and operate loading equipment as needed.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety protocols.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
