Safety Manager

Position Summary

The Safety Manager develops and leads programs that ensure a safe workplace and high-quality operations across agricultural, manufacturing, and retail locations. This role partners with leadership and frontline staff to drive regulatory compliance, prevent accidents, and maintain standard safety processes.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & OSHA Compliance Build and maintain OSHA-compliant safety programs across all sites. Perform job hazard analyses, safety inspections, and risk assessments. Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Maintain OSHA logs, injury reporting, and required documentation. Serve as the main contact for regulatory safety inspections.

Training & Engagement Deliver safety training for onboarding, role certifications, and annual refreshers. Coach leaders and frontline teams on compliance standards and workplace best practices. Encourage employee participation in safety and quality programs. Audits, Claims & Metrics Manage workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work efforts.

Track key performance metrics, including audit completion rates and safety analytics. Coordinate internal and external compliance audits. Teamwork & Operations Partner with facility managers to resolve operational risks efficiently. Clearly communicate workplace safety standards across all sites. Prepare metric reports and action plans for executive leadership.

Qualifications

Required Bachelor’s degree in Safety or related field (or equivalent experience). 3–5+ years of combined experience in safety management. Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance standards. Proven track record in conducting audits, inspections, and employee training. Experience supporting multi-site environments (agricultural, manufacturing, or retail).

Preferred OSHA 30, CSP, ASP certifications.
