SAP Procurement Analyst
Job description
The SAP Procurement Analyst plays a vital role within Brady’s Intelligent Product Solutions (IPS) Information Technology organization, operating under the Digital Supply Chain functional pillar. Based in Charlotte, NC, this position serves as a key liaison across Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, and IT business stakeholders to support, analyze, and continuously optimize procurement and materials management workflows.
The analyst provides functional and configuration expertise within SAP ECC Materials Management (MM)—specifically focusing on Procure-to-Pay (P2P), purchasing, vendor master management, inventory control, and material master data—while ensuring dependable integration across connected digital supply chain platforms. In addition to day-to-day operational support, this role actively contributes to system stabilization, process standardization, and architectural alignment in support of Brady’s enterprise growth and technology initiatives.
Serve as the functional SAP Materials Management (MM) specialist, supporting and enhancing end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, purchasing workflows, vendor evaluation, and inventory controls. Collaborate closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to capture business requirements, define functional specifications, and implement standard SAP configuration solutions.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve daily operational issues, purchase order interface discrepancies, GR/IR variances, and electronic data interchange (EDI) transactional exceptions. Maintain data governance, integrity, and mass maintenance for critical procurement master data, including material master, vendor master, info records, and source lists.
Author comprehensive business requirement documents (BRDs), functional design specifications (FSDs), user acceptance test (UAT) scripts, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Partner with cross-functional IT colleagues, ABAP developers, and third-party integration partners to design, test, and deploy enhancements and system interfaces.
Coordinate with the Integration Management Office (IMO) where applicable to align milestone timelines, deliver integration requirements, and support cross-stream governance. Ensure alignment with global coding and architecture standards for technical roles, championing "standard-over-custom" SAP best practices and maintaining audit/compliance controls.
Support Day 1 readiness and stabilization objectives by proactively identifying system bottlenecks, assisting in cutover activities, and providing hypercare and training to business end-users.
