Ultrasound Technician - PRN

Description Staff Ultrasound Technologist must:

• Have an associate degree in sonography, from an institution accredited by the CAAHEP, that prepares students to sit for the certification exam. Staff Ultrasound Technologist Duties:
• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
• Report to the appropriate medical staff of any abnormalities that require immediate attention
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
• Schedule outpatient procedures for Radiology
• Manage several patients and priorities and be able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
• Work under minimal supervision and cooperate with other team members Requirements Education: Postsecondary (Cert/Diploma/Program Grad) graduate of an accredited Ultrasound or Radiologic Technology program (required) Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Radiologic Technology (preferred) Licenses/Certifications: (S) ARDMS or ARRT
• Sonography or equivalent credential (RDMS or CCI) Upon Hire or within facility-specified timeframe (required) Experience: 1+ years clinical experience in diagnostic ultrasound imaging (preferred) Prior experience in a hospital or acute care setting (preferred)
