As a Survey Crew Chief , you will be responsible for performing survey field operations, including boundary, topographic, construction layout, ALTA/NSPS, and existing conditions surveys, utilizing conventional, robotic, and GPS equipment. This is an opportunity for an experienced SUE professional who is already coordinating projects to further their career within a dynamic and growing Engineering, Surveying and Planning firm.

Responsibilities

Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate field operations and supervise survey crews effectively. Demonstrated ability to lead field crews on a variety of land surveying projects utilizing conventional, robotic, and GPS equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in field measurements, data collection, and documentation.

Willingness to travel out of town for project assignments, with lodging and meal per diem provided. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding fieldwork as required.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in land surveying, preferred Associate’s degree in surveying/geomatics, civil engineering or related field preferred SIT or PLS preferred but not required Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, navigational programs, CADD programs and Trimble Business Center preferred Experience with Trimble data collection, GPS receivers and robotic total stations considered a plus DOT and route survey experience considered a plus Candidates must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.
