Nuclear Medicine Technologist

JOB SUMMARY

NUCLEAR MEDICINE TECHNOLOGIST prepare, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals (radioactive materials) to detect and treat disease under the supervision of a physician. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist provides patient care and technical skills in the operation of nuclear medicine equipment for diagnostic and evaluation purposes.

Certificates Required: Must have combination on NMT and CT cert!

NMTCB and CT; NMTCB and ARRT (CT); ARRT(N) and ARRT (R) or (CT); NMTCB and ARRT (R)

Shift Times: 7:30a-4p…

Number of cases per day: 6-8...

Number of years of experience required: 2...

Are First-timers accepted: Yes…

Are weekends required? No...

Is there any on-call: No...

Is block scheduling permitted? Yes, the schedule is BLOCK SCHED MON-FRI…

Are Locals accepted: Yes...

Certification requirements: BLS is required...

Which National/State certifications are required: ARRT and NJ License...

Other Details: Exp in Adult OP clinics and nuclear cardiology, GE, gastric emptying, bone scans, liver imaging, perfusion, ventilation, captopril, myocardial scans, and SPECT (Bone, Thyroid, and Cardiac imaging)…
