Clinic Receptionist

Overview

Variable Employment Type: Per Diem (PD/PRN) Hours: Every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am-8:00pm) Location: Knapp Medical Center

• Weslaco , TX We are seeking a Receptionist , also referred to as a Clinic Receptionist or Hospital Receptionist. The Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients and helps create a welcoming, organized, and professional clinic experience. This position supports daily front office operations by answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, collecting payments, and ensuring required paperwork is completed. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed.

Responsibilities

Section Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner Answer incoming calls and direct patients, providers, and staff appropriately Schedule and reschedule patient appointments following provider protocols Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other payments according to company policy Assist with paperwork, front office tasks, and other duties or special projects as assigned At Knapp Medical Group, our dedicated team of professionals is committed to our core values of quality, compassion, and community.

Responsibilities

The Clinic – Receptionist serves as telephone operator, greets patients, and makes sure that necessary paperwork is completed. The Clinic – Receptionist collects co-pays/deductibles as per company policy, schedules and reschedules patients’ appointments per established protocols by provider, and serves as a primary customer service representative for the clinic.

The Clinic – Receptionist completes other duties and special projects, as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING High School Diploma or Equivalent. Previous medical office receptionist experience preferred. BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
