Certified Sterile Processing Tech

Job Shift: Nights Job Type: Full Time The Certified Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for processing incoming supplies and equipment. Performs cleaning, decontamination and sterilizing duties, prepares packs of supplies, prepares supplies for all surgery cases, linens, and instruments in Sterile Processing as directed.

Must be extremely conscientious with regard to procedures and capable of working under pressure and interacting professionally with all departments. Responsible for processing incoming supplies and equipment. Performs cleaning, decontamination and sterilizing duties, prepares packs of supplies, prepares supplies for all surgery cases, linens, and instruments in Sterile Processing as directed.

EDUCATION

Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent and completion of a sterile processing course or surgical technician program EXPERIENCE: Minimum: None Preferred: At least one year previous experience in central sterilization operations. REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION: Certified Central Service Technician certification or Certified Surgical Technician preferred.
