Intake Specialist

Intake Specialist | De. Coach Recovery Centre | Dayton, OH For many people, the hardest step is the first phone call or walk through our door. As an Intake Specialist, you're the person who makes that moment feel safe, welcoming, and doable. Our Intake Specialists are the first point of contact when someone calls to get information on our treatment programs, and you will work with our other departments to get them scheduled for an in-person assessment at one of our facilities.

What You'll Do

Welcome new clients by phone and in person, and guide them through intake with warmth and respect Interview clients to gather personal, medical, and service-related information Verify eligibility and documentation Enter and maintain accurate records in our electronic systems, protecting confidentiality Connect clients with the right internal teams so they get timely follow-up and care Explain our processes and next steps clearly, so no one feels lost Recognize urgent or complex situations and quickly escalate them to supervisors or clinical staff Follow all privacy laws, organizational policies, and quality standards What You Bring Required: High school diploma or equivalent Experience in a client-facing role (healthcare, social services, or customer service) Comfort with data entry and electronic records Clear verbal and written communication Discretion and respect for confidentiality Nice to have (but not required): Experience with case management or intake software Familiarity with healthcare or social services Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting Why You'll Love Working Here Medical, dental, and vision insurance Company-paid life insurance Paid holidays and PTO Yearly merit raises Company-matched 401(k) Tuition reimbursement, so you can keep growing your education and career Real opportunities for advancement STAR-eligible facilities About Us Since 2016, De.
