  • Toledo North Department: Anatomic Pathology Weekly Hours: 0 Status: Per Diem Shift: Variable (United States of America) Job Summary: As the Histology Technologist II, you will perform routine and complex histologic techniques on tissue samples for microscopic examination and support the Pathologist in providing accurate diagnoses. You will perform special procedures that require a complex network of steps and variables as well as all routine and repetitive tests in a high-volume anatomic pathology lab. You will create and monitor quality assurance programs in the lab and instruct new associates or students as required . The above summary of accountabilities is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed in this role. I t should not be considered exhaustive. REQUIRE MENTS Associates Degree in Science or Applied Science (or equivalent) and/or Bachelor’s Degree - completion of an accredited training program in Histotechnology. OR May consider two years histology work experience with a High School Diploma, and eligibility to sit for the ASCP certification test (HT or HLT). Pro.
