Job Profile Lab Assistant, Jewelry Analysis Services

This role performs basics tasks involving instruments that support the efficient processing of jewelry submissions through the Jewelry Services workflow. Individually transfer items into standard GIA boxes, print and apply appropriate labels, following defined Jewelry handling, security, and inventory procedures. Operated weighing instruments to obtain accurate weights.

Ensure appropriate weight is transferred to the system. Perform diamond screening by applying protocols to use the appropriate instrument to test and record the test results manually. Use judgement to escalate the Refers, for the best possible outcome for the screening. Distribute, track, and collect jewelry submissions throughout the production workflow.

Print the appropriate report type and tag, tag the item with the Jewelry tag, carefully handle and secure the item using appropriate packaging and sealing protocols.
