We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Scheduler to join our growing healthcare team. Never worked in medical scheduling before? No problem—we will train you! We provide complete hands-on training on our systems, scheduling protocols, and reports to set you up for success from day one.
About the Role
As a Medical Scheduler, you play a vital role in patient care. You will be the primary point of contact for helping patients book essential appointments, maintaining optimal clinic schedules, and ensuring maximum access to healthcare services for our community.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule regular and preventive medical visits for new and established patients; use recall protocols to contact patients due or overdue for exams. Schedule Optimization: Work under the clinic manager's direction to manage provider schedules, track appointment fill rates, and ensure maximum appointment availability. Patient Data & Insurance: Accurately update demographic information and verify insurance coverage for all scheduled visits.
Reporting & Tracking: Use report tools (EPM Server) to monitor patient lists, unduplicated patient counts, and clinic access metrics. Administrative Support: Answer phone calls and assist patients with general questions and information requests warmly and professionally.
What We Are Looking For
Must be bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Skills: Strong basic reading, writing, and math skills; comfortable using basic computer programs. Attitude: A team player with strong communication skills, great attention to detail, and a desire to learn! Why Join Us?
