Dove. Lewis Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian (DVM/VMD) to join our state-of-the-art emergency and specialty hospital in Portland, Oregon. Dove. Lewis is a nonprofit, mission-driven teaching hospital known for its collaborative culture, advanced medicine, and deep commitment to the community.
Our emergency doctors manage a wide variety of challenging cases while working alongside 20+ board-certified specialists and a highly skilled technical team. What You'll Do
- Perform triage, diagnostics, and medical management for a diverse emergency caseload
- Manage patient flow across the ER and ICU alongside a skilled technician team
- Develop diagnostic and treatment plans and communicate clearly with clients during critical moments
- Collaborate with specialists to provide advanced care and facilitate patient transfers when needed
- Build relationships with referring veterinarians throughout the region

- DVM/VMD (or equivalent) from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school or ECFVG certification
- Ability to obtain Oregon veterinary licensure
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills in emergency medicine
