Job Posting: 26-107 – Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) – Permanent Full-Time – Whitecourt Location: Whitecourt, Alberta Position Type: Permanent Full-Time Shift Pattern: Four days on, four days off Opportunity Summary Associated Ambulance is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified Primary Care Paramedics (PCPs) for permanent full-time opportunities at our Whitecourt station .

Position Overview

Successful candidates will provide pre-hospital assessment, treatment, and transportation within their authorized PCP scope of practice and applicable clinical protocols. This position offers a regular rotation of four days on followed by four days off.

Key Responsibilities

Assess patients to identify illness, injury, and immediate care needs. Provide appropriate pre-hospital treatment within the authorized PCP scope of practice. Monitor patient conditions and response to treatment throughout care and transportation. Support the safe movement and transportation of patients. Complete accurate and timely patient care documentation.

Maintain ambulance, equipment, and supply readiness. Collaborate with paramedic partners, emergency communications officers, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Follow applicable clinical protocols, organizational policies, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

Current, valid Primary Care Paramedic practice permit with the Alberta College of Paramedics, meeting the requirements for EMS practice in Alberta. Current, valid Alberta Class IV driver’s licence . Completion of all mandatory training requirements, including MCPs and PDIC . F.A.R.E Test or full time experience within allotted time period.
