Personal Care Aide/Home Health Aide

Seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Health/Personal Care Aide to provide high-quality care for a client in a home setting. The ideal dependable candidate will assist the client with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting their independence. Daily Responsibilities Assist clients with daily personal tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.

\ Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, dishwashing, and vacuuming the client’s bedroom. Prepare clients for doctor appointments and other close-to-home outings. Prepare simple meals according to the client’s dietary needs. Monitor the client’s basic health, including checking pulse, temperature, and respiration rate.

Assist client with prescribed exercises and medication administration. Help with changing bandages, dressing wounds, offering massages, and caring for skin. The client has a wound nurse. Maintain accurate care records and document any changes in the client’s health or behavior. Ensure medications are taken as prescribed by a Nurse or Physician.

Build rapport with clients by establishing personal connections, showing empathy, and providing emotional support. Respond promptly to any medical or safety concerns as they arise.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a caregiver, personal aide, or in a healthcare setting is preferred. CPR certification is a bonus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently. Empathy, kindness, and a genuine desire to help others is mandatory. Must be dependable, reliable and trustworthy. Background check required.
