Job Title: Purchase Executive / Purchase Engineer Department: Purchase / Procurement Location: Ichchapur Salary: ₹20,000 - ₹25,000 per month Employment Type: Full-time Experience Required: 1.5 to 2 years Joining: Immediate Joiners Only Job Purpose We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchase Executive / Purchase Engineer to handle outside and off-site fabrication activities.

You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, purchasing, and coordinating materials, components, and job-work activities. This role ensures all operations align with project requirements, approved drawings, quality standards, cost targets, and strict delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor Development & Sourcing Identify and develop suitable vendors for fabrication and job-work requirements. Obtain quotations from approved and potential vendors. Compare prices, delivery schedules, payment terms, and technical specifications. Conduct vendor evaluation metrics and maintain an updated vendor database.

Purchase Activities Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO) and Work Orders (WO). Purchase raw materials, fabricated components, consumables, and project-related items. Negotiate competitive rates, payment terms, delivery schedules, and transportation logistics. Manage purchases carefully to ensure strict alignment within approved budgets.

Outside Fabrication Coordination Coordinate closely with vendors for fabrication jobs based on approved drawings and BOMs. Share drawings, specifications, and delivery timelines clearly with partners. Follow up regularly on fabrication progress and enforce delivery commitments. Liaison internally with Production, Engineering, QA/QC, and Stores departments.

Arrange inspections of fabricated items before dispatch. Verify that component quantity and quality match PO/WO requirements. Follow-up, Delivery & Quality Documentation Track open POs and outside job-work orders efficiently. Monitor project delays and communicate them proactively to management. Coordinate transportation to ensure prompt delivery to the designated site.

Partner with QA/QC to manage component inspection, rejection, or rework issues. Maintain accurate records of inspection reports, material test certificates, challans, and invoices.

Required Skills

& Qualifications Education: Diploma, B.E., B.Tech., or Graduate degree in Mechanical, Production, or a related field. Experience: 1.5 to 2 years of procurement experience within engineering, fabrication, or manufacturing industries. Direct experience in outside fabrication job-work is highly preferred. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of fabrication drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and materials like MS, SS, CS, plates, pipes, and sections.

Software: Practical knowledge of MS Excel and specialized ERP or Purchase software.
