Hospital and Department Summary: Baystate Noble Hospital is an 85-bed acute care community hospital helping people in the greater Westfield community and offers direct access to world-class technology, diagnostics, and specialists. Baystate Noble, Emergency Department 12 bed Modern Emergency Department, equipped with advanced technology and access to a network for specialists. This unit is well-staffed with ancillary support, management, supervisors and multiple nurse educators & coordinators - on each shift! Multimodal orientation program utilizing latest evidence-based online education programs, inactive classroom lectures, and high-fidelity simulation . The Patient Care Technician role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives while gaining hands-on clinical experience and building a strong foundation for career growth in healthcare while working alongside a collaborative care team dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care. The Patient Care Technician Will: Provided safe, age-appropriate patient care, assisting with activities of daily living, mobility, elimination, and personal care while promoting patient dignity and safety. Monitored and accurately documented vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other physiological parameters; promptly reported significant changes in patient condition to nursing staff. Assisted with treatments, procedures, dressing changes, specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and physician examinations in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Provided one-to-one patient observation as needed, recognized changes in patient condition or safety concerns, and responded appropriately to emergency situations. Collaborated effectively with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members while maintaining clear communication, accurate documentation, and patient-centered care. Required Skills
