We are seeking an experienced practitioner with an established portable book of business and a strong reputation within the family and matrimonial law community.

Represent clients in sophisticated matrimonial and family law matters, including contested and uncontested divorces, custody and parenting time disputes, support issues, and post‑judgment matters. Handle complex financial and high‑net‑worth divorce matters, including equitable distribution, alimony, and child support.

Serve as lead counsel in negotiated resolutions, mediations, and contested litigation, including trial and appellate matters when necessary. Maintain and grow a portable book of business while developing new client relationships and referral networks.

Collaborate with related practice groups—including Trusts & Estates, Tax, Criminal, Real Estate, and Corporate—to provide holistic representation for clients. Meet billable expectations and contribute to practice group growth and firm initiatives. Participate in mentoring junior attorneys, business development, and firm leadership activities.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Admission to the Connecticut Bar and in good standing (New York admission a plus). 7+ years of concentrated experience in matrimonial and family law. Demonstrated portable book of business and collected originations. Strong professional reputation for excellence, discretion, and client advocacy.

Excellent courtroom presence, negotiation skills, and written and verbal communication abilities.

Growth, productivity, and client impact directly influence total earnings. Comprehensive Benefits: Partners are eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and voluntary programs.
