Checkout Supervisor

Job Description: Checkout Supervisor J ob summary; Our small but high-traffic supermarket needs a Checkout Supervisor to take over the responsibilities of processing customer transactions, helping to train new operators and managing customer service in our store. We’re looking for a motivated and highly organized professional with retail or checkout experience and an excellent head for numbers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive work environment for all checkout staff.
• Reconcile tills at the end of every shift.
• Generate accurate till reports for each register.
• Manage and perform all check-out functions on a daily basis.
• Communicate clearly and openly with customers.
• Manage the checkout area and ensure each station remains clean and efficiently run.
• Respond to operators’ requests for price checks and other functions for customer service.
• Listen to customer complaints and questions and refer them to the assistant manager when required.
• Ensure all stations have adequate cash and change at all times.
• Serve as the primary point-of-contact for customer service associates . Skills:
• Secondary school completion required.
• 5+ years’ experience in cash handling and customer service.
• High level of responsibility, leadership skills and organization.
• Ability to efficiently run all checkout stations.
