Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients in an Article 28 facility setting. Conduct patient assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans. Prescribe medications and therapies within the NP scope of practice. Order and interpret diagnostic tests. Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.

Requirements

Education

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Licensure: Active New York State Nurse Practitioner License (Required). Certification: Board Certified as a Nurse Practitioner. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience required. Technical Skills: Proficiency in comprehensive patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and documentation.

Soft Skills: Excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and patient-centered approach.
