Surgical Tech/ORT 7on/7off Night Shift

Full time Surgical Tech (ORT) job 8pm-6:30am 7 on/ 7 off, work 70 hours get paid for 80. No call. The Operating Room Technician (ORT) functions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and performs delegated job functions such as planning, preparing and setting up for cases, and managing supplies and equipment. The work that is performed is done under the established policies and procedures of the institution and according to the experience and scope of educational requirements of the individual and applicable legal guidelines. The ORT will be expected to anticipate the needs of the patient and physician and make decisions within the scope of their practice. Completion of an Operating Room Technician Program in a technical or Jr. College or hospital program. 2 years varied ORT experience required for 7 on/ 7 off position. Certification preferred.
