Construction Estimator and Takeoff Specialist, Remote (Buenos Aires, Argentina)

You produce the accurate quantity takeoffs our bids are built on. Clean, well organized takeoff work lets the estimating team price projects quickly and competitively, and the quality of your output directly shapes which bids we win.

What You Will Do. Review architectural drawings, specifications and addenda. Perform accurate quantity takeoffs in the five divisions described below. Organize takeoff data in spreadsheets or estimating software. Support bid preparation and scope review. Identify missing information, conflicts and scope gaps, and raise them early.

Meet assigned bid deadlines and communicate progress regularly. Coordinate remotely with the estimating and project management team. The Divisions You Will Work In. Our projects follow CSI MasterFormat, the standard used in the United States to organize construction drawings and specifications by trade. You will work in five divisions: Division 6, Wood, Plastics and Composites: rough carpentry, blocking, finish carpentry, wood trim and architectural woodwork.

Division 8, Openings: doors, door frames, door hardware such as hinges, locks and closers, and windows and glazing. Division 10, Specialties: toilet partitions, restroom accessories, signage, lockers, fire extinguisher cabinets and wall protection. Division 12, Furnishings: casework, built-in cabinetry, countertops and millwork.

Division 28, Electronic Safety and Security: low voltage systems such as access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection and fire alarm devices. If you have done this work under a different classification system, you are still a fit. Tell us which system you used. Your Qualifications. Construction estimating or takeoff experience.

Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications. Takeoff experience in one or more of the divisions above. Experience with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, OST or similar takeoff software. Strong written and spoken English. Residence in or near Buenos Aires. A reliable internet connection and the discipline to work independently.
