Branch Manager
Job description
Description Lead the branch. Develop the team. Deliver results. Stephenson Equipment, Inc. (SEI) is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead the safe, efficient, customer-focused, and financially responsible operation of an assigned branch. This highly visible leadership role brings together sales, service, parts, rental, facilities, and administrative teams to operate as one organization and deliver a strong customer experience.
What You’ll Do Provide overall leadership and accountability for branch performance, safety, customer experience, and financial results. Align sales, service, parts, rental, facilities, and administrative teams around clear priorities and company goals. Develop department leaders, strengthen teamwork, and create a culture of ownership, urgency, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
Review operational and financial performance, identify gaps, assign corrective actions, and ensure improvements are sustained. Drive service execution through consistent workflows, effective scheduling, customer updates, work-in-process management, invoicing, and job closeout. Support parts availability, inventory discipline, rental readiness, equipment utilization, and cross-functional coordination.
Serve as the senior local point of accountability for significant customer concerns and help protect long-term relationships. Maintain a safe, organized, professional branch while supporting compliance, facility needs, fleet oversight, and company initiatives. Communicate branch results, risks, resource needs, and improvement opportunities to executive and functional leadership.
What We're Looking For
Progressive leadership experience in branch operations, equipment distribution, service, parts, rental, construction equipment, fleet, industrial operations, or a comparable environment. Demonstrated success leading multiple functions, developing employees, managing competing priorities, and driving accountability through others.
Working knowledge of financial statements, budgets, operational metrics, customer service practices, and process improvement. Strong communication, judgment, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills. High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business, operations, management, or a related field preferred.
Ability to learn and effectively use company systems, reports, and standard office technology. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as business needs require. Why Join SEI? This is an opportunity to lead a full branch operation, influence business performance, develop people, strengthen customer relationships, and help shape how SEI operates and grows.
If you are a hands-on, accountable leader who connects people, processes, and results, we invite you to apply.
