Job description

Position Summary

The Senior Product Manager, Data Applications owns the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of data-driven products that turn complex data into clear, actionable experiences for customers and internal teams. This role partners with the VP of Product to ensure alignment with company goals, roadmap execution, and strategic priorities.

As a senior leader on the team, they build consensus across product, engineering, data, and business stakeholders, foster a collaborative, high-performing product culture, and keep a sharp eye on measurable business outcomes. They thrive in ambiguity, translate data capabilities into customer value, and mentor others in product craft.

Position Responsibilities: Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for data applications, translating company goals and customer needs into prioritized, measurable initiatives. Define product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for data pipelines, analytics, dashboards, and data-driven features that guide engineering, data, and design.

Partner with engineering and data teams to scope features, weigh data architecture trade-offs, and ensure technical feasibility, data quality, and scalability. Lead Agile product development through sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and delivery, owning the backlog and clearing roadblocks. Define and track success metrics and KPIs, using data analysis and experimentation to validate hypotheses, measure adoption, and drive continuous improvement.

Collaborate cross-functionally with design, marketing, operations, and compliance to align priorities and ensure data applications meet user, privacy, and security expectations. Influence senior stakeholders by clearly communicating roadmap, trade-offs, and results, and build consensus across teams to drive measurable business results.

Mentor and coach product team members, and drive continuous improvement in product development processes and team collaboration.

Qualifications

7+ years of product management experience, including 2+ years owning data, analytics, or data platform products, ideally in a tech startup or fast-paced environment. Proven track record taking data-driven products from concept to launch, with strong experience writing product requirements and working directly with engineering and data teams.

Strong working knowledge of data concepts such as data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, APIs, data warehouses, and BI tools, and comfort using SQL to explore data independently. Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and experience leading Agile ceremonies. Demonstrated ability to build consensus and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.

Comfortable navigating ambiguity and bringing clarity through structured thinking and documentation, with strong communication skills and a bias toward execution. Experience in marketing tech or fintech preferred; familiarity with data privacy and governance considerations a plus. Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma, Craft.

io, Aha!, and analytics/BI platforms such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
