Position Summary

The Kitchen Steward plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment in both the hotel lobby restaurant and bar Graffiti as well as our roof-top PM restaurant and bar Limestone to support efficient food service operations. This position is responsible for dishwashing, sanitation, waste removal, and assisting with basic kitchen support tasks while adhering to all health, safety, and sanitation standards.

Additionally, the role assists in large banquet events prep work like preparing food and plating server carts. This is a great entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in the culinary or hospitality industry, offering exposure to kitchen operations and the chance to grow within a supportive team environment.

Status Type & Pay: This is a Full-Time position and is eligible to participate in all our fantastic benefits offered to non-exempt hourly team members. Scheduling: This position requires flexibility to work any day of the week, any shift, including weekends and holidays. Specifically, as the Kitchen Steward your primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following Operate large commercial dishwasher equipment to wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans in a timely and efficient manner.

Hand Scrub pots and pans; Burnish, de-tarnish, and polish silver. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and back-of-house areas Remove trash and food waste according to safety standards Ensure that all kitchen equipment and supplies are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained. Assist kitchen staff with basic support tasks as needed Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines Report safety or maintenance concerns promptly.

This list is not all inclusive, additional job functions will be shared during interviews. What are we looking for? Previous experience in a full-service restaurant, or similar food service environment, is highly desired, preferably with a hotel. Availability to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays.

Ability to effectively understand and communicate with staff. Moving up to 50 lbs. frequently, throughout shift, to perform essential job functions. Capable of remaining in a standing position, either stationary or walking, for duration of shift. Extend arms; frequent reaching, twisting, pulling, bending, and stooping Ability to observe and adhere to all Health and Safety regulations and company guidelines for food handling, cross-contamination protocols, and sanitation.
