Patient Services Support Representative (Part-Time)

Description Do you want to help people see better, look better, and feel better? We are seeking applicants for the part-time position of Patient Services Support Representative to join our front desk team. This role serves as a liaison between patients, providers, and referring offices by greeting and assisting patients, answering phone calls, verifying insurance eligibility, updating patient information, collecting payments, scheduling appointments, processing referrals, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Our team of ophthalmologists, optometrists, and professional support staff handle all aspects of eye/vision care, from general exams to complex surgeries.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Greet patients, visitors, vendors, and callers in a courteous, professional, and customer-focused manner Maintain effective communication with Scheduling Coordinators, Master Schedulers, providers, and other departments Answer and direct incoming calls in accordance with established telephone and quality assurance standards Intake patient requests for forms and medical records requests, directing them to the appropriate staff for completion Triage walk-in patients and schedule appointments as appropriate Process and coordinate patient referrals Cover both check-in and check-out functions Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the practice management system SCHEDULE: Part-time 20 hours per week (may jump to full-time hours temporarily to cover a leave of absence) WHAT WE OFFER Competitive pay Annual scrub vouchers Paid vacation, holidays, and sick time Employee discounts (glasses, contacts, and other cosmetic services) Birthday and milestone anniversary gifts Employee assistance program Employee appreciation events EYE-Q Vision Care complies with federal and state disability laws and makes reasonable accommodations for applicants and employees with disabilities.
