Job description
We are looking for a Lawyer with hands-on experience in i. Gaming who can take ownership of legal matters and manage them independently from initial assessment through completion. The role combines international legal work with direct client interaction and requires a practical, business-minded approach to solving legal and regulatory matters.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of assigned legal matters and manage them independently through the full workflow, ensuring deadlines and expected outcomes are met
- Provide legal support to businesses operating in the i. Gaming industry across corporate, licensing, contractual, and compliance-related matters
- Handle company incorporation and ongoing corporate administration across different jurisdictions
- Support gaming licensing processes, including applications, ongoing requirements, and related legal documentation
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements relevant to the industry, including marketing, software development, and licensing agreements
- Communicate directly with international clients, explaining legal requirements, potential risks, and available solutions in a clear and commercially practical way
- Research legislation, regulatory requirements, and relevant legal practices to support ongoing projects and client requests
- Assist with bank account opening and related legal or corporate documentation
- Maintain accurate legal records and work with internal documentation, databases, and task management systems
- Identify missing information early and coordinate efficiently with clients and senior legal colleagues when additional input is required Requirements: - 3+ years of overall legal experience, including at least 2 years working with i. Gaming businesses in an in-house or legal advisory environment
- University degree in Law
- Practical understanding of key legal workflows within i. Gaming, particularly corporate matters, licensing, contracts, and compliance
- Previous experience working directly with clients and the ability to manage professional communication independently
- Confident written and spoken English for calls, correspondence, legal research, and document-related work in an international environment
- Strong legal drafting and analytical skills, with the ability to research unfamiliar matters and turn findings into clear, actionable conclusions
- Ability to communicate complex legal topics in a straightforward way and adapt explanations to a non-legal audience
- High level of ownership and independence, combined with strong attention to detail, reliability, and effective deadline management
- Commercial mindset and ability to consider the business implications of legal recommendations rather than focusing solely on formal legal requirements
- Confident user of Google Workspace, including Drive, Docs, and Sheets Would be a plus:
- Practical exposure to gaming licensing frameworks such as Curaçao, MGA, Anjouan, Isle of Man, or other relevant jurisdictions
- Previous communication with regulators, banks, or payment service providers
- Working knowledge of AML/KYC and i. Gaming compliance processes What's in it for you:
