Unarmed Security Officer

WORK ENVIRONMENT All guards must interact with facility employees and general public. While these interactions must be accomplished to ensure security, i.e., without compromise, they must also be done in a professional and courteous manner. Guards must treat facility employees and visitors with respect. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Ability to stand for long periods of time with few breaks.

Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. Ability to twist, squat, and bend over without physical limitations. Ability to perform patrols including walking long distances and going up and downstairs. Must be comfortable working in conditions that range from summer heat to Winter conditions. Open availability without restraints due to other part-time jobs etc.

At least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalency certificate. Possess a valid and current North Carolina State Security License D and registration. Must be a US citizen. Ability to work Nights and Weekends Reliable Transportation. Possess a valid North Carolina State driver's license and be legally able to work in the United States of America.

Able to pass a physical exam/drug screen and a background investigation. Be literate to the extent of basic computer skills, reading and understanding English, printed regulations, detailed written orders, training instructions and material, and be able to compose a brief, factual reports which convey complete information In addition, all employees will be dealing with and have access to sensitive information and will therefore be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
