Janitor - United Salt Baytown, LLC

Hourly NonExempt Position Company: United Salt Baytown, LLC Key Responsibilities: Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming as needed. Gather and empty trash. Clean and maintain restrooms. Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors. Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.

Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare clearing solutions, according to specifications. Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors. Requisition supplies and equipment needed for clearing and maintenance duties. Notify management of potential repairs. Remove snow/debris from external sidewalks. Other duties as determined by the supervisor.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED, one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read, write, and interpret documents. Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, handle, and reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Regularly lift and or move up to 20 pounds. Regularly perform heavy cleaning such as floors, washing walls and glass, stripping and waxing floors, and removing snow and/or debris from external sidewalks.
