RN IPC Clinic - Per Diem

This position is Per Diem and will provide-needed coverage for various shifts.

Job Summary

Ensures that quality nursing care is rendered to all patients in accordance with the Washington State Nurse Practice Act, Tri- State Hospital and departmental nursing standards. Utilizing the nursing process, functions primarily in direct patient care and coordinating that care.

Duties and Responsibilities

Use skills in nursing assessment to include peri-operative education and care. Recognizing post anesthesia and post-operative complications. Promotes positive teamwork with departmental staff, surgeons, physicians, anesthesia, and all departmental personnel. Participates in maintaining a safe patient care environment. Effective leadership skills and preceptor participation.

Education

Associate’s degree or Bachelors in healthcare administration or equivalent college coursework preferred. Licensures/ Certifications: Current Washington State or Multi-State RN license Current American Heart Association ACLS and BLS/CPR certification card on hire or within orientation period. Experience: Minimum of 2 years acute care experience, required.

Clinic experience, preferred. Skills and Abilities: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent phone etiquette. Strong interpersonal skills. Computer skills, including electronic medical records systems.
