Controller

Company Overview MAK Talent is representing a client seeking a dynamic Controller to lead our financial operations in Salt Lake City, UT. This role involves managing daily financial tasks, coordinating with ownership, senior management, and external accounting resources. The ideal candidate will be proactive, driving financial success, and contributing to the planning, budgeting, forecasting, and overall growth.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation. Manage and lead a team of three financial assistants. Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies. Ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of all financial procedures and documentation.

Requirements

B.A. or B.S. in Accounting or Finance. 5+ years of experience in a small to medium-sized organization. Comprehensive understanding of the accounting cycle, principles, and procedures. Proficiency in QuickBooks and strong Excel skills. Capability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

MAcc or MBA degree. 7+ years of industry experience. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification. Experience in an accounting firm or as an Office Manager. Excellent communication skills and familiarity with PayCom.

Compensation

and Benefits Bonus structure to be discussed during the interview process. Compressed work schedule with every other Friday off.
