Assistant Instructor

ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR Open Until Filled Part-Time Temporary Position PRIMARY FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach and assist as needed for the High School and evening classes offered by the Fire and Rescue Association; Teach and assist with Fire and Rescue Basic Courses in accordance with the DFREM Training Division. REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Thorough knowledge of emergency medical services and firefighter training programs, practices and procedures; Thorough knowledge of emergency medical treatment, CPR and advanced life support methods, procedures and equipment; Thorough knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to emergency medical services; Ability to express ideas effectively, orally and in writing; Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school supplemented by emergency medical, firefighting and paramedic training and considerable experience in emergency medical services including some training experience.
