Your Training Mission

As a Personal Trainer - YMCA at Spring Grove YMCA (1472 Roths Church Rd, Spring Grove, PA), you’ll ignite member progress with safe, science-backed coaching that turns goals into momentum. This part-time, onsite role (flexible early mornings, evenings, and weekends) exists to deliver high-energy guidance while protecting a safety-first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and deliver individualized programs across cardio, strength, flexibility, agility, balance, and coordination
• Coach members with clear cues, encouragement, and strong relationship-building
• Serve diverse populations including athletes, older adults, teens, and cardiac rehab participants
• Promote YMCA virtual and on-site program platforms
• Follow emergency, incident, and safety procedures

Required qualifications/skills:

• Personal Training certification (ACSM, ACE, or equivalent)
• CPR PRO/AED/First Aid certification
• Strong interpersonal communication and commitment to YMCA core values

A Shift in Motion

Your Personal Trainer shift kicks off with quick floor readiness and friendly hellos as members stream in. You’ll bounce between focused 1:1 sessions and brief check-ins, keeping the pace upbeat and the space safe. Between appointments, you’ll update notes, confirm upcoming times, and point members to options on YMCA virtual and on-site program platforms. Expect a steady rhythm of early-morning energy or evening/weekend buzz-every hour bringing new faces, new goals, and that satisfying moment when someone realizes they’re stronger than yesterday.
