In this position, you will assist the ICU Nursing Team while gaining experience in a number of key roles within the unit. This position delivers direct patient care in collaboration with the RNs and performs tasks that do not require nursing judgment or medication administration. Performing basic patient care under the direction of the Charge Nurse. Having excellent communication skills and routing messages to the appropriate person. Maintaining a safe and healthy environment for patients according to hospital standards of quality. Using a customer service attitude when assisting patients and families with needs. Performing ward clerk and clerical tasks as needed. Maintaining equipment and performing routine cleaning tasks. Assisting RN with patient educational needs.
