Fabrication Supervisor

Fabrication Supervisor Location: Bowling Green, KY, 42101 Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Supervisor to lead and manage our production team in Bowling Green, KY. The ideal candidate will be an expert in managing people and ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality fabrication operations in compliance with ISO9001 and IATF16949 standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead by example in all safe work practices, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Perform and oversee constant physical activity throughout the shift, including standing, walking, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, handling, near/far vision tasks, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying forging products weighing up to 50 pounds.

Review production jobs and schedules to determine product data such as types, quantities, and specifications. Plan production operations by establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products, utilizing knowledge of production processes, methods, and workforce requirements. Meet with managers and shift leaders to explain job details prior to assigning tasks to production staff.

Review production and operation reports, resolve operational and maintenance issues to minimize costs and prevent delays. Manage all processes to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and production needs. Inspect equipment to ensure operational performance and collaborate with personnel to establish production and quality control standards.

Drive continuous process improvement initiatives and implement 5S and safety improvements. Document production activities and problems, communicating solutions effectively across all organizational levels.

Qualifications

& Skills Proven expertise in managing people and leading production teams. Strong knowledge of fabrication processes and manufacturing methods. Familiarity with ISO9001 and IATF16949 standards and ability to ensure compliance. Ability to perform and supervise physically demanding tasks safely and efficiently. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to resolve operational and maintenance issues.

Strong communication skills to effectively document and share production information. Experience with 5S methodology and safety improvement initiatives.
