Manufacturing Compliance Supervisor
Job description
FII USA, Inc. , a Foxconn Technology Group Company, is seeking a Manufacturing Compliance Supervisor to oversee campus manufacturing compliance programs and lead ESD control, document control, calibration, and Quality Management System compliance. Once a part of the team, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks within the Training and Development Department in a manufacturing environment and have the opportunity to display critical thinking skills to expand your career in Smart Manufacturing.
The Manufacturing Compliance Supervisor will supervise compliance personnel, establish risk-based verification and audit priorities, and coordinate corrective actions across facilities and shifts and assist the Training and Development Department as needed. Supervise the Compliance Coordinator team, Document Control Specialist, Calibration Program Specialist, and Quality Systems & Compliance Engineer.
Recruit, onboard, coach, evaluate, qualify, and train staff; set objectives, priorities, and coverage, and provide technical methods and acceptance criteria through the Lead Compliance Coordinator. Maintain an integrated compliance calendar and staffing plan for audits, verification, document reviews, and calibration; recommend budget, equipment, software, and service-provider needs to the Manager.
Translate company, customer, ANSI/ESD, IEC, and approved ESD requirements into campus controls. Maintain the ESD Control Program Plan, procedures, verification methods, technical criteria, approved equipment lists, supplier references, risk assessments, records, and change documentation. Qualify ESD protected areas, workstations, and lines; review equipment installations and manufacturing changes.
Develop technical requirements and evaluate proposed control products, test equipment, grounding, packaging, garments, workstations, and process materials before use. Set risk-based verification schedules for personnel grounding, worksurfaces, monitors, ionization, carts, racks, storage, flooring, garments, packaging, tools, and other controls.
Ensure appropriate, maintained, calibrated, controlled instruments are available. Review verification results, repeat failures, corrective actions, workload, and risk to adjust priorities. Maintain dashboards for completion, failure rates, recurring conditions, action aging, and audit performance. Investigate ESD nonconformities, unexpected voltage, equipment failures, audit findings, and process concerns; document conclusions and coordinate corrective and preventive actions with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Facilities, EHS, Procurement, and other owners.
Conduct program audits, layered assessments, observations, and point-of-use reviews across buildings and shifts. Support customer, certification, internal, and quality-system audits with records, demonstrations, technical responses, and finding closure. Support ESD awareness, role-specific, investigator, and coordinator training development and delivery, including technical input to assessments.
Oversee document control through the Document Control Specialist: approval routing, revision release, retention, periodic review, point-of-use availability, and obsolete-document removal. Resolve backlogs with document owners. Oversee calibration through the Calibration Program Specialist: Calibration records, due dates, equipment collection, suppliers, certificate review, and out-of-tolerance investigations.
Escalate overdue equipment and unresolved product-impact risks. Direct the Quality Systems & Compliance Engineer in QMS compliance, risk-based audits, CAPA, effectiveness verification, management review, and external-audit readiness, preserving auditor objectivity and process-owner accountability. Review performance across all four functions; resolve recurring failures and overdue actions with process owners.
Improve reliability, standardization, automation, data collection, and ESD prevention; report unresolved risks and resource needs to the Manager. Other duties as assigned. Associate or bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
Five or more years of manufacturing quality, ESD, engineering, compliance, or related technical experience is preferred, including hands-on ESD program experience. Prior supervision or team leadership is required. Experience with document control, calibration, quality systems, audits, investigations, new-line qualification, and technical corrective actions is preferred.
Certifications and Training: ESD Association Program Manager, ESD Control Program, ESD TR53 Technician, or comparable industry training or certification is strongly preferred. Internal-auditor, quality-system, or supervisory training is a plus. Ability to supervise, delegate, coach, resolve conflicts, and manage performance and competing campus priorities across buildings and shifts.
Working knowledge of controlled-document lifecycles, calibration traceability and out-of-tolerance controls, QMS, internal audits, CAPA, and effectiveness verification. Strong ESD knowledge: failure mechanisms, grounding, ionization, materials, packaging, verification, and protected areas; ability to assess manufacturing processes, workstation design, equipment, and environmental risks.
Working knowledge of ISO9001, ANSI/ESD S20.20, ANSI/ESD TR53, IEC 61340-5-1, or comparable requirements is strongly preferred. Strong troubleshooting, investigation, data analysis, root-cause, corrective-action, technical writing, procedure-development, reporting, presentation, and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, equipment-control systems, databases, and reporting tools; ability to work independently in active production and escalate high-risk conditions promptly.
Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage. Basic life insurance and short-term disability coverage provided by employer. Supplemental life insurance and long-term disability coverage options available. 401K with employer contribution. Personal, Vacation, and Holiday paid time off for all full-time employees.
Onsite Aurora Health & Wellness Center available for all employees. Employees are continuously encouraged to learn and grow their careers in smart manufacturing.
