ABOUT THE POSITION We’re looking for a Part-Time/On Call Cook to join our school dining team. This is a great fit for someone who wants to pick up extra shifts on a flexible basis. This position fills in when team members are out, helping us keep the kitchen running smoothly and fully staffed. Shifts may include our Monday–Friday day shift (7:00 AM–3:00 PM) as well as special events held in the evenings and on weekends. When you’re on shift, you’ll prepare and serve food according to our daily menu and recipe standards and help with kitchen upkeep. The ideal candidate enjoys working with students and educators and puts great customer service first. Essential Responsibilities: Pick up shifts as needed, including covering for team members who call out. Follow food safety standards at all times. Cook and prep food accurately based on recipes and specifications provided by the Chef/Genuine Foods. Coordinate with team members to make sure all food is ready on time for service. Keep a clean working environment and help the team with additional cleaning duties. Keep your area stocked and organized. Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Weekend availability is required. Flexible schedule and ability to respond to shift requests Team-oriented and able to step in and adapt quickly in different kitchen settings. At least 1 year of scratch-cooking experience. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and level-headedness. Punctual and able to follow the time and attendance policy.

Ability to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs. Interest in and commitment to Genuine Foods’ mission to use food to enhance students’ minds, bodies, and happiness.
