Respiratory Therapist

Job Overview Fairview is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to join our Respiratory Therapy team at our Lakes Hospital location in Wyoming , MN. The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic services as prescribed by a physician. Follows defined treatment protocol according to department policies.

Collects, assesses, interprets, and intervenes as appropriate in the care of neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Ensures patient welfare and safety standards during treatments. Schedule : This position will be working casual. Casuals are required to work a minimum of 6 shifts each quarter/ 3 months. One shift must be a weekend.

One holiday per year is required. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for: Perform Pulmonary Function test on ages 5 years and older. Perform 6 minute walk tests, ABG's, Methacholine testing, Pre/Post spirometry, DLCO, MIP/MEP, MVV, Pleth, nitrogen washout. Assessing patient needs and identifies expected outcomes.

Implementing Respiratory interventions based on plan of care. Evaluating care and the patient’s response to interventions and expected outcomes. Delivering care as delegated by physician/authorized practitioner to assigned patient population, or individual patient. Using communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
