Maintenance Technician - Residential Properties

Overview

Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of residential units and common areas to ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained living environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities

Complete service requests (work orders) in a timely manner Perform routine maintenance and inspections of units and buildings Troubleshoot and repair: HVAC systems Plumbing (leaks, clogs, fixtures) Electrical (outlets, lighting, minor wiring) Prepare vacant units for new residents (turns/make-readies) Maintain common areas, grounds, and building systems Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems Respond to emergency maintenance calls (on-call rotation) Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (technical/trade school a plus) 2–5+ years of maintenance experience (residential or commercial) Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems Ability to diagnose and solve problems efficiently Basic computer skills for work order systems Valid driver’s license Benefits Medical insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Flexible spending account Employee assistance program Paid time off Parental leave 401(k) plus match
