We are currently looking for a dedicated Heavy Duty Mechanic who will be responsible for troubleshooting and overseeing repairs on a variety of Caterpillar equipment. To learn more about working at Finning, visit https://www.finning.com/en_CA/company/careers/working-at-finning.html Job Description: Major Job Functions Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment Interact with customers, product and sales support, and the rest of the Finning team Working with the Service Supervisor on various tasks Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment Complete technical documentation and reports Specific Skills & Experience Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification Minimum 1 year experience as a Heavy Duty Technician Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail Understanding of the Caterpillar product line will be considered an asset Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be considered an asset Transmission or Hydraulic testing would be considered an asset Experience with Lawson, SIS (Service Information System) and warranty systems considered assets Notes Shift work may be required Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.
