Finance Technology Intern, Spring 2027

Your Opportunity as a Finance Technology Intern As an intern on our Finance Technology team, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the data, analytics, automation, and technology solutions used across Finance. You will work alongside experienced developers and business partners to analyze data, develop and maintain reporting solutions, improve business processes, and test changes to Finance technology tools.

This role is a great opportunity for students interested in applying analytics and modern technology, including AI, to solve real business problems. Location: Orrville, Corporate Offices Work Arrangements: Hybrid - onsite a minimum of 9 days a month primarily during core weeks as determined by the Company; maybe more as business need requires In this role you will: Analyze and model data to help Finance teams generate insights and take action.

Assist with building and maintaining dashboards, reports, and interactive visualizations. Prepare, clean, validate, and analyze data used by Finance teams. Learn existing Finance processes, technology workflows, and business use cases. Support the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of existing data models and reporting solutions.

Assist with small automations and process improvements that help Finance teams work more efficiently. Develop and execute test plans for changes or upgrades to Finance technology tools. Support testing and documentation for certified reports subject to key SOX controls. Help ensure data, reports, and technology solutions follow enterprise data governance, audit, and compliance standards.

Use AI tools responsibly to support analysis, documentation, and everyday tasks. Collaborate with Finance and IT partners while learning from experienced developers and technical leaders.

What we are looking for

Pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Demonstrated interest in data, analytics, automation, AI, reporting, or technology solutions through coursework, projects, internships, or extracurricular activities is preferred.

Exposure to business intelligence, data visualization, or analytical tools such as Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, R, or Python through coursework, projects, or previous experience. Interest in using analytics, automation, AI, and technology to improve Finance processes and decision-making. Strong time-management, attention-to-detail, written communication, verbal communication, and teamwork skills.

A curious mindset and willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and business processes. Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and business partners. Why Choose the J.M. Compensation

$19-$24.50 Actual hourly rate is determined based upon the year of college that will be completed at the start of the internship A housing stipend for interns relocating for the program.
