CNC Specialist

Position Summary

Manufactures detailed parts and tools from blueprints, sketches, drawings, or verbal instructions using various computer- or mechanically controlled machine tools and equipment. Sets up and operates mills, lathes, drill presses, power tools computer controlled equipment (CNC) machine tools, grinders, jig bores, and other machining equipment using mathematical and geometrical calculations and uses precision measuring instruments to check and maintain tolerances.

Calculates dimensions using measuring instruments. Installs, aligns, secures, and adjusts cutting tools and work pieces. Monitors the feed and speed of machines. Turns, mills, drills, shapes and grinds machine parts to specifications. Measures, examines, and tests completed products for defects.
