Position Summary
PowerTech provides commercial, industrial, residential electrical, and generator services. This position supports the company’s day-to-day operations by administering and improving the systems and processes employees rely on to serve customers effectively. The Business Systems Administrator is the primary administrator and subject matter expert for PowerTech’s operational technology platforms, with a strong focus on ServiceTitan .
The position is responsible for maintaining system integrity, supporting users, optimizing business processes, onboarding employees to company systems, managing assigned technology assets, and ensuring effective adoption of operational technologies that improve efficiency, visibility, and customer service. This position works closely with Operations, Accounting, Human Resources, IT partners, and field teams to ensure systems are configured effectively, data remains accurate , and employees have the tools and training needed to perform their roles successfully .
Essential Responsibilities Service Titan Administration & System Ownership Serve as the primary administrator for Service Titan and other operational software platforms. Lead system configuration, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing optimization. Manage user accounts, permissions, security settings, and role-based access.
Ensure data integrity and consistency across all system modules. Evaluate new features, enhancements, and updates and coordinate implementation. Test and validate system upgrades prior to deployment. Monitor system usage, technology adoption, and Service Titan score trends to identify opportunities to improve workflows, user engagement, and overall system performance.
Develop and support adoption strategies that improve consistent use of Service Titan and other operational technologies across office and field teams. Partner with department leaders to design and implement process improvements through technology solutions. Develop and maintain system documentation, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
SOP Documentation for Key Module Use Cases Develop and maintain summarized SOP documentation for key ServiceTitan module use cases, including call booking, scheduling and dispatch, pricebook , inventory, memberships, reporting, user access, and field mobile workflows. Define standard procedures, ownership, required permissions, control points, escalation paths, and expected outputs for each documented workflow.
Partner with department leaders to validate SOPs before publishing or materially changing operational workflows. Review and update SOPs when system updates, process changes, compliance needs, or organizational changes affect daily use. Use SOPs to support onboarding, training, process consistency, data quality, and effective adoption of business systems.
User Support & Training Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions related to ServiceTitan and other operational software. Provide troubleshooting, guidance, and training to office and field personnel. Develop training materials, job aids, and documentation to support user adoption. Facilitate onboarding and ongoing training for new and existing employees.
Conduct one-on-one and group training sessions as needed. Assess training needs and develop learning plans to improve system utilization across departments. Technology & Asset Administration Coordinate setup and deployment of technology resources for new hires, including computers, tablets, mobile devices, software access, and related equipment.
Maintain records of assigned technology assets and track inventory throughout the employee lifecycle. Partner with the company's IT vendor to coordinate hardware procurement, system access, troubleshooting, replacement equipment, and technology support. Assist in evaluating technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and scalability.
Maintain documentation related to hardware assignments, software licenses, and system access. Process Improvement & Business Support Collaborate with Operations, Accounting, HR, and Leadership teams to identify process improvements and operational efficiencies that can be solved via technology. Create reports, dashboards, and performance metrics that support data-driven decision-making.
Support CRM and workflow management initiatives that improve visibility and accountability across the organization. Assist with implementation of future software systems and technology projects. Participate in cross-functional projects that support organizational growth and operational excellence. Additional Responsibilities Support organizational initiatives and strategic projects as assigned.
Maintain a customer-service mindset when supporting both internal and external stakeholders. Stay informed on industry technology trends and best practices. Perform other duties as assigned. This includes assisting and others in their roles that need support from your tenure and tribal knowledge .
Minimum Qualifications
Required 3-5+ years of experience administering business systems, operational software, CRM platforms, ERP systems, or similar technologies. Experience training end users and supporting software adoption initiatives. Strong understanding of workflow management and operational processes. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to troubleshoot system and user issues independently. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation. Ability to communicate effectively with field personnel, office staff, vendors, and leadership teams. Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities and a continuous improvement mindset.
Preferred Experience with ServiceTitan administration or implementation. Experience within the electrical, construction, skilled trades, service, or field service industries. Experience managing technology assets, user permissions, and software integrations. Knowledge of union workforce environments and reporting requirements.
