Security Officer (Part-Time)

Applicants must: Be at least 18 years of age Be legally authorized to work in the United States Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening Have reliable transportation (public transportation will not be considered) Possess a working cell phone for communication with Operations Supervisors Be able to pass a criminal background check with no felony arrests or convictions Be eligible to obtain a Maryland (MD) Guard Card Be able to perform duties outlined in post orders, which may include extended periods of standing, walking, and occasional lifting Be comfortable using mobile technology, including tablets and smartphones Possess a valid full driver's license Duties and Responsibilities We are seeking dependable, professional individuals who can: Maintain a daily activity log for each assigned shift and post Accurately document incidents in detailed written reports Conduct walking and/or vehicular patrols throughout assigned shifts Enforce client rules and policies in a professional and courteous manner Report to assigned posts on time and in proper uniform Communicate effectively with the public, clients, and fellow team members Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills Practice active listening and professional customer service Assess and respond appropriately to emergencies and critical situations Identify potential security concerns quickly and take appropriate action Equal Opportunity Employer Thank you for your interest in joining the team at MSC Security .
