Pay range

$23-28/hr Position Summary: Set up and operate one or more automatic presses, compacting presses or four slides to punch, notch, pierce, slot, blank and form a variety of products. Follow instructions for methods of operating presses. Check work with micrometer and other measuring instruments and fixed gauges to check dimension to tolerances.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate one or more presses, spot welders and tapping machines. May perform bench operations using hand-held equipment May use punch press, degreaser, welders, pneumatic and/or foot presses, optical comparator scales, micrometers, fixed gauges, templates, torque wrenches, verniers, calipers, thread comparator, plug and ring gauges Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as scheduled Maintain acceptable level of housekeeping order and cleanliness in area Wear all required PPE at all times Perform other related duties as required Education and Experience: High School or Equivalency Diploma Basic Shop Math Ability to read and understand written instructions in English Ability to use handheld measurement instruments Experience operating continuous metal strip processing equipment preferred
