Position: Logistics Dispatcher Duties & Responsibilities Under the direction of the Logistics Team Leader, the Logistics Dispatcher assists in the day to day operations in logistics. The position is responsible for collecting and communicating all necessary information related to upcoming and ongoing shipments, projects and services as well as providing logistics support, consulting, and obtaining best possible transportation rates.

Key Responsibilities

Receives orders and schedules shipments with appropriate carries to ensure delivery to meet deadlines Monitors and analyzes inventory procedures, recommends updates and improvements to logistics team leader. Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues Making decisions and solving problems – analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work – Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work Perform “what if” routing analysis and continually strive to find efficient ways to route and reduce transportation costs Maintain flexibility with shift to meet customer demands Skills & Experience Required: Clear interpersonal, written/verbal communication skills Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel and Outlook Highly analytical with ability to communicate/understand and resolve complex operational issues involving numerous, ever-changing variables and constraints Experience in warehouse shipping/receiving, supply chain, general freight hauling Ability to identify new methods/processes, determine impact and develop implementation plan Must have thorough knowledge of SAP ERP modules
