POSITION SUMMARY

The Campus Pantry Assistant is a federal work study position that supports the daily operations of the campus food pantry. This role helps ensure that the pantry is welcoming, organized, and accessible to students while promoting food security and dignity within the campus community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with opening and closing the pantry during assigned shifts. Greet and assist students, providing a welcoming and respectful environment. Monitor and track pantry usage, maintaining accurate records as directed. Organize, stock, and inventory pantry items, ensuring cleanliness and order. Assist with receiving, sorting, and storing donations.

Support outreach and awareness efforts about pantry services. Report maintenance, safety, or supply concerns to supervising staff. Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of pantry users. Perform additional duties as assigned by pantry staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be a current student enrolled in the federal work study program and in good academic standing. Dependable, punctual, and able to commit to scheduled shifts (evenings and weekends may be required). Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide respectful, nonjudgmental service. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Professionalism, respect for confidentiality, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive campus environment. WORK SCHEDULE Shifts vary based on pantry operating hours and student availability. Hours are contingent upon federal work study award allocation and student class schedule.

COMPENSATION

Hourly rate based on federal work study guidelines.
