Lead Engineer, Software Development

We’re looking for talented professionals to join us in bringing smart money management and payment solutions to everyone’s fingertips. This position is classified as structured hybrid, with an expectation of three (3) days per week working in the office and flexibility to work remotely on the remaining days. On-site expectations may evolve over time to support business needs, with clear communication provided in advance.

<<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>> JOB DESCRIPTION Lead Engineer, Software Development (Green Dot Corporation; Cincinnati, OH): Perform coding and code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing. Ensure quality deliverables/releases, and adhere to the established Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) guidelines.

Gather and verify technical requirements. Develop and review technical designs, defining and implementing best practices for the architectural direction of the designs. Establish on-time and on-budget project goals. Advise on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects. Plan and coordinate project schedules and create project assignments.

Act as the primary technical liaison for the team to resolve team related issues. Provide technical testing evaluation estimates on various projects. Work directly with the peer functional leadership and business owners. Address small groups on technical subjects and demonstrate systems. Lead informational discussions with internal and external groups.

Telecommuting permitted in the U.S. pursuant to company policy. Minimum requirement s: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field., plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered, as a Project Lead, Sr. Software Engineer, or a related occupation.

Must have experience in the following:

• Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with two or more tiers of code;
• Tiers of code within product stack;
• Driving project methods, techniques, and procedures;
• Agile scrum development process and Agile scrum ceremonies;
• Leading team implementation of new features spanning n-tiers of code with minimal supervision;
• Improving processes and tools; and
